What Is The FairTax®?

The FairTax is a simple, fair and transparentsolution to replace our current tax system.

It treats all citizens equally and allows American businesses to thrive, all while generating the same tax revenue for the government through the establishment of a national retail sales tax of 23% on new goods and services.

The FairTax bill eliminates the IRS, and replaces the current tax code with a National Sales tax of 23%. Additionally the FICA tax of medicare, social security plus capital gains taxes of any sort are eliminated.  Absolutely no government plans are eliminated by the FairTax, not even Social Security and Medicare.  The FairTax is only a replacement system of how the government collects its’ revenue.  In addition to replacing the income tax The FairTax also provides each Social Security Card holding household a prebate check to each month to cover the 23% sales tax up to the poverty level.

The FairTax is by far the most progressive Tax proposal in congress and the senate.  It is the only plan I’ve seen which does not raise taxes on any tax bracket and at the same time helps to address the issue of our growing unsustainable national debt.  It is a tax plan that shrinks the size of government and puts EVERY American in a better financial position.
