Wednesday, May 27, 2015 we will be presenting as our featured speaker Marianne T. Bayardi. Marianne has served as a judge with the Phoenix Municipal Court since January, 2007. In the past 8 years Judge Bayardi has presided over criminal misdemeanors and civil orders of protection as well as participated in numerous standing and ad hoc committees of the court.
Currently, Judge Bayardi is a member of the Judicial Policies and Procedures Committee and, together with Judge Lori Metcalf, is responsible for training all new full time and pro tem Phoenix Municipal Court judges. This year she became the Presiding Judge over the Phoenix Municipal Court Veterans’ Court, which is said to be the largest single jurisdiction misdemeanor Veterans’ Court in the country.
Marianne was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Phoenix. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 1987. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1991.
