We are very pleased to present to the Grassroots Tea Party Activists Mona Oshana & Mr. Sam Darmo.

Mona is an accomplished speaker, author, blogger, born in Kirkuk, Iraq, immigrating to the United States in 1977.  She left her homeland by force not by choice.  In her book ‘Look Beyond the Fire’ she tells her story of escape.

They will be doing talks on Ancient Christians in Despair, descriptions and solutions to the Persecution of Iraqi’s, Syrians, Kurds, Armenians, and Yazidi’s in the MiddleEast and How Did we Get Here….

If we have time, we will show a special presentation after their talk giving the audience sufficient understanding of the issues of importance that are occurring in the World. We will explore topics which you won’t see on the cable news networks.

The discussion will focus on:
• Who are the Christians of the Middle East?
• Christians at the verge of extermination, who is attacking them?
• Why must the Christians remain in the Middle East?
• Why must the world get involved?

MR. SAM DARMO

Sam was born on 1955 in Baghdad – Iraq relocating to the United States in 1978 after his Graduation from the Academy of Science in Baghdad. He  is an Assyrian Archivist, Activist, and an Assyrian TV and Radio Personality.  He served as a spokesman for the Assyrian Democratic Movement “Member of the Iraq Opposition recognized by the United States according to the Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998” in Arizona from 2002-2004.

Sam will focus on -HOW DID WE GET HERE?

– (1840-1940, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran and Turkey) 1840-1865 Kurdish warlord Badr Khan Persecution against–Church of the East only (over 10,000 killed)
– 1840-1866 1860 Druze-Maronite Conflict (20,000 Christian lost their life)–1896 Diyarbakir Assyrian Massacre
– 1914-1920 Armenian, Assyrian, Greek Genocide (1.7 million people lost their lives)
– 1933 Assyrian Massacre in Northern Iraq, more than 20 Assyrian Towns and Villages were destroyed.
– 1940 The British/Arab conflict where the Assyrians fought on the side of the English.

Sam Darmo is an Assyrian Activist who founded Assyrians for Justice and eventually developing his own TV show shortly after Saddam Hussein was found hiding in Tikrit, Iraq.  He has been working to get the truth out to the public and trying to work through the US Justice system.  He met with Sen. John McCain and Sen. Jon Kyle in 2010 prior to McCain going to Iraq with promises from McCain and Kyle to help the Assyrians in their plight.
