Jim O’Connor, District Chairman of LD23 is running for Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party position with a fresh new approach.  LD 23 is the largest district in our State with 375 PCs serving 66,000 registered Republican voters.  Jim team attracted 135 new Precinct Committeemen in his 1st 18 months as District Chair.

Jim’s successful accomplishments in the AZGOP are reflected by:

– been extremely active & committed to AZGOP political action since 2006.  His leadership is inspiring to others and he is respected and known for his dedication and enthusiasm.

– has taken and completed all 5 levels of training from the Center for Self Governance.  He holds firmly to their goal of ‘keeping the Republic.’  Due to his completing this training he strongly suggests to others, specifically GOP elected office holders and activists, to take this course.

– currently serves as the 2nd VP of the Arizona Republican Assembly – Jim has been involved with this organization since it’s 2014 rebirth.

– Jim is a total opponent of the NPVC (National Popular Vote Compact).  When understanding the impact of this compact one immediately realizes how it would take away the voting power of the Arizonan citizens. Jim was not only instrumental in preventing its passage at the County Executive Guidance Council, but also in securing a resolution condemning the Compact.

– Many describe Jim O’Connor as a ‘Citizen Patriot’ because of his belief in the standards around which we must unite are both the Founding Documents and 2016 Republican Party Platform.

As a bonus, Jim brings to the Arizona GOP a solid business background.  He retired as a successful investment advisor in 2000 selling his practice to a major company.
