It’s Christmas Time – Know what that means? Time for our Annual Christmas Party.
We have a special surprise this time around – a special added attraction is Rev/Dr Lance Hurley. Its also the day after Dec 15 – Bill of rights Day.
We have a full schedule on Wednesday, Dec 16, 2015. So would really appreciate a head count for those planning on attending so we know better what to have for desert and not have more than needed. We will be providing pies and possibly a 1/2 sheet cake decorated for Christmas.
Dr. Hurley will be doing a presentation on the Bill of Rights focusing on 1st and 2nd Amendments with possibly a few comments made by Patrick Henry during the Virginia deliberations as the day before our GRTP meeting (Dec 15) is Bill of Rights Day.
In honor of our Bill of Rights, we will all learn a virtually unknown story of just how we actually got the Bill of Rights and how instrumental Patrick Henry was in all of this.
As it is the Tis the Season to be jolly – Christmas time, Dr. Hurley will emphasize the 1st Amendment and the continuing attack on Christianity; as well as talk about the 2nd Amendment since it stands as the guardian of protection over all the Bill of Rights.
In tune with the Christmas season and our Christmas Party, Lance will provide us a short, somewhat humorous vignette regarding non-Christmas greetings that we all hear during this time of year and give us some suggestions on how to respond to them. Can you come up with a few?
It will be a great time for all to share, fellowship, tell stories possibly, how you and family have celebrated Christmas in your life, what it means to you, and how you spread the joy of Christmas and all its blessings to those around you.
This will be the last meeting until Wednesday January 6.
So Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Nite.
Happy New Year, Blessings, and good health and prosperity for the new year 2016.
God Bless to you all!
