Kim Fisher, if you recall came to our Tea Party back sometime in September to hear Frank Riggs Candidate for School Superintendent who left the meeting rather abruptly with no reason.  She came to hear the candidates.  Since the candidate had left she then proceeded to fill us in on DVUSD financial situation and educational issues, etc. the reason she was wanting to hear from the various candidates.

Kim has graciously accepted our invitation to come and speak on any new updates in the school district, provide an overview of schools, School finance, and overrides and bonds; what they are, will do, will not do, etc.

She has a Bachelor in Management specializing in Human Resources, a Master’s of Accounting and Financial Management, and has worked in education since 2011.  Formally a corporate trust accountant she currently works as an Operations Manager in the finance department for a public school district and is at the start of her fourth year as a Governing Board Member at DVUSD.  She will be running for the Governing Board again in the November 6^th general election.  Come and ask any questions you have.
