Wednesday Oct 17, 2018 having 2 favorite candidates from Deer Valley School District to come and speak before the Nov 6 Election.

If you recall Kim Fisher is the 2017 School Board President in Deer Valley Unified School District and, she came to our Tea Party around September 2017 to hear Frank Riggs Candidate for School Superintendent who left the meeting rather abruptly with no reason.  She came to hear the candidates.  Since the candidate had left she then proceeded to fill us in on DVUSD financial situation and educational issues, etc. the reason she was wanting to hear from the various candidate

Kim graciously accepted our invitation, came back and spoke on new updates in the school district, provided an overview of schools, School finance, and overrides and bonds; what they are, will do, will not do, etc.

She has a Bachelor in Management specializing in Human Resources, a Master’s of Accounting and Financial Management, and has worked in education since 2011.  Formally a corporate trust accountant she currently works as an Operations Manager in the finance department for a public school district and is at the start of her fourth year as a Governing Board Member at DVUSD.  She is now currently running again for the Governing Board in the November 6^th general election.  Come and ask any questions you have.

On the ticket with her for a position on Deer Valley Governing Board is Michael Deiana who has attended our tea party meetings on a number of occasions.  Michael is currently a high school math teacher with the Deer Valley School District.  He has resided in the community since 2001.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Public Administrations, and is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Education. He believes in smaller classroom sizes, better education, and Fiscal Responsibility.  He will be a great addition to Kimberly’s team.
