Wednesday Sept 12, 2018 we start a new month and 17 years after the Terror Attack on our Nation – 9-11-2001.  3,000 lives lost, New York practically destroyed, families destroyed, men, women, children, total devastation.  A time when our Nation came together for the first time in a long time united as one on a single front all parties united fighting one common enemy.  Now here we are 17 years later and where do we stand.  How many people have forgotten 9-11.  Just another day in history that those are trying to wash away as if it never happened.

Sorry, we of the Grassroots Tea Party Activists WILL NEVER FORGET!  Those Twin Towers burning, the planes plowing into them, into the 2nd building, then down in Pa that was headed for the White House but for a single brave passenger ad that plane came into / burrowed into the ground upside down in Shanksville, Pa.  WE WILL NEVER FORGET!  It is embedded in our memory banks like it was yesterday.

Let’s also talk about Prop 127 another attempt at taking away our Freedom of Choice.  About mandates – making us use Renewal Alternative Energy vs choosing for ourselves what we wish to use.  Forcing everyone to have electric cars, no more gasoline engines, no more power plants, Solar is good, but should it be forced on everyone to have it, even if they can’t afford it?  It is cleverly names ‘Clean Energy for a Healthy Arizona in order to gain votes by deception.  Mislead the voters to have them think they are doing something good for our state when in fact it is taking away our Freedom of Choice, jobs, power plants, and more.

Arizona’s electric generation is among the cleanest in the NATION.  Why? because the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station provides a tremendous base load without nasty carbon emissions.

Liberal political activist California Billionaire Tom Steyer is behind this dastardly plan to pass an Arizona Constitutional amendment to mandate Arizona’s public utilities to produce 50 percent of the states electric generation as renewable energy.  Really?  Why should the voters dictate how a private company must operate?  You say power generation is a monopoly, yes – that’s why we have an Arizona Corporation Commission.  

Have an extra $1,900 laying around?  That’s how much the Seidman Research Institute at ASU estimates Prop 127 will cost each Average Arizona family.  Probably even more.  Right now we ‘lease’ our Solar from Solar City for 20 yrs.  That per month rate goes up about 2-3% each year.   Still have a choice on who you wish to use.  Utility companies are still trying to keep Solar out by not opening up Solar to every area in the City.  APS just started doing Solar and they charge extra fees on top of your bill for using Solar.  Even SRP is doing that.  That’s why they are in court currently to stop the utility companies from charging extra fees for using Solar.  Solar works and is a good alternative when you the individual CHOOSE to use it vs the Government MANDATING you use it.

According to Chris Herring of Maricopa County Republican Party, Prop 127 would constitutionally mandate Arizona public utilities to get half of their power from renewable sources by 2030. Employing government mandates, instead of letting the free market work, will lead to the same results that they always have: higher prices, fewer jobs, and a lower standard of living. Prop 127 could potentially DOUBLE electric bills for APS customers. Businesses will compensate by passing their higher electric costs onto their customers in the form of higher prices, and consumers will forego spending if they have higher electric bills to deal with themselves. This will result in lost jobs and an overall lower standard of living. As a nation, we should absolutely strive for renewable energy that doesn’t harm the environment. But we should get there through free market capitalism and the rational allocation of our resources – NOT through artificial, politically-motivated government mandates.

We will also continue to strive to update all of our knowledge on what NPV is, Article V Convention, Compact of States, and Net Neutrality and ask that you all do your homework and pass this info to others to help them understand the dangers of NPV, Article V Convention and Compact of States.

Your opinion on the appoitment of Jon Kyle as our new US Senator to replace John McCain.  He says he will only stay on til end of this year vs the end of McCain’s term.  Reasons?
